Matthew is a graduate student with extensive experience in writing and reporting on geopolitical events. He is also a FRC mentor, a martial artist, and a public speaker on world events and resource shortages. In his free time, you can find him reading political philosophy or trying in vain to convince his friends to listen to opera.

In addition to writing the emerging tech column for the Griffin Review, Grant publishes a series of audiobooks focused on issues of developing technology, global issues, and the law. He is a technology analyst for the School of Medicine at UC Irvine and has been pivotal in development of the school’s fabrication lab.

Grant is a founder of the fabrication startup AMPEL, and provides creative direction for several other technology organizations. He is a licensed UAS remote pilot under FAA Part 107, providing professional aerial surveying and mapping services.
